Tour Length:
Each tour is designed to be 1 1/2 hours long. Due to the size of the group, things that can happen that we have no control over… this is New Orleans, after all!
Our Tours are Walking Tours:
Each tour is approximately 1 mile long. Walking is at a leisurely pace, with periods of standing while the tour guide is telling a story. Comfy shoes are a must.
Most tours are wheelchair accessible, as we will be on the sidewalk. (Mind you, New Orleans sidewalks, at times, can jump up and bite you!)
Our Guides:
The City of New Orleans licenses all of our guides. They have all passed a federal background check and a New Orleans history test to receive their license. Because we believe in giving high-quality tours, we also screen and test all of our guides on our own. You will be guided by the best in the business!
Tour Meet-up:
All tours start outside of 815 Toulouse St. Thanks to our friends, Check-in is 15 minutes before the start of the tour. All tours start on time! (Which is very unlike most things in NOLA!) Note: Private tours often have different starting locations, and we will discuss this with you when planning your private tour.
Reservations:
Book your tour ahead of time. Bookings are available up to 30 minutes before the tour.
Walk-ups are accepted, but we can only accept cash for walk-ups.
All-Ages Restrictions:
All ages are welcome
Minimum Bookings:
Tours will go out with one person.
Weather:
You can never predict the weather in New Orleans (trust us, it bothers us too, sometimes!) Tours will go on rain or shine. In the case of extreme weather (i.e., hurricanes or tornadoes), we will notify you as soon as the office is made aware and will issue a refund or an offer to take the tour at another time, if possible.
It’s always a good idea to have umbrellas in New Orleans for both the rain and the sun. Water is essential for warm weather!. Wear clothing suited to the season.
Going Into Locations:
We do not enter locations except for bathroom breaks. Most stops are private locations, but we will describe all of the history and stories about the location. You’ll still be delighted!
End of Tour, Gratuities:
Tours do generally not end where they start. Your guide will help you to your next destination (and don’t be afraid to ask what to do next- our city is full of exciting things for all types!) Gratuities are not included in the price of your ticket. If you have enjoyed your tour, please tip your guide (though it is not required).

We really appreciate reviews about your experience with us on your favorite social media sites. It helps us spread the word! You can review us at various locations listed at
Cancellation Policy, Etiquette:
Tickets are non-refundable. If you have a situation where you cannot make a tour you purchased tickets for, call us right away (within 24 hours of the tour start time), and we can try to work with you to get you on another tour.
